One of the most powerful figures in contemporary art after 6 decades of creating cutting-edge work, Yayoi Kusama is now the subject of a major exhibition touring 5 cities in North America. Now on view at The Broad in Los Angeles, “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” gives visitors the rare chance to experience six of Kusama’s iconic infinity room installations. Using a combination of mirrors, lights, familiar forms and repetitive patterns (polka dots are a recurring favorite), Kusama creates spaces that seem to make the walls, floor and ceiling melt away and invite the viewer into a hallucination of endless space.

“Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” originated at the Hirshhorn Museum in DC and traveled to the Seattle Art Museum. After its installation at The Broad (21 October 2017 – 1 January 2018), the exhibition will travel to the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the High Museum in Atlanta. Tickets for this popular exhibition have been in high demand at all venues and advance reservations are required.
